SECTION 8 PROJECT-BASED
VOUCHER (PBV) ASSISTANCE
AVAILABILITY OF UP TO 25 SECTION 8 PROJECT-BASED VOUCHERS
FOR HOMELESS MILITARY VETERANS
The Housing Authority of the County of Salt Lake (HACSL) announces the availability of up to 25 Section 8 Project-Based Vouchers (PBV) for the Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) Program. The PBVs are available for use in existing housing, under this RFP. HACSL invites property owners to submit proposals. Applications for this RFP must: (1) be for units located in HACSL areas of operation; (2) propose to serve households with members who qualify as homeless and a military veteran; (3) agree to comply with a Housing First approach where homeless military veterans are provided immediate access to housing and then offered the supportive services that may be needed to prevent a return to homelessness. HACSL will evaluate the quality and location of the prospective housing as well as the experience
RFP packets will be available for download on HACSL’s website beginning Monday, January 9th 2017. At www.hacsl.org RFP packets will also be available for pick up at HACSL office, 3595 South Main Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84115. The APPLICATION SUBMISSION DEADLINE is 4:00 p.m., Wednesday February 7th, 2017.
RFP packets must be delivered to the HACSL as specified in the application. Only proposals submitted by the published deadline and meeting all requirements stated in the RFP will be considered. Incomplete and/or late submissions of the RFPs will not be accepted or reviewed. HACSL reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any or all proposals in response to this RFP. HACSL further reserves the right to cancel or re-issue this RFP, to modify the selection procedure or the scope of this proposed project or the required responses, to request amendments to qualifications after expiration deadlines, and to negotiate or approve final agreements.
