HACSL provides housing assistance to over 150 households of recently homeless individuals and families through a variety of transitional housing programs. Funding support is received from Salt Lake County HOME, Salt Lake County General Funds, and the State of Utah. In addition to transitional housing, participants also receive case management through HACSL partners.
AmeriCorps volunteers from Salt Lake County’s Homeless Project also provide supportive services to transitional housing participants through case management assistance and an ongoing furnishing donation project. AmeriCorps activities are supported through funds from the State of Utah and Wasatch United Front.
Permanent Supportive Housing:
A partnership between the Housing Authority and Housing Opportunities, Inc. has enabled our agencies to offer 84 men and women the ability to overcome chronic homelessness through permanent supportive housing at Grace Mary Manor. Grace Mary Manor opened in February 2008 and is located at 19 West Gregson Avenue in Salt Lake City.
In addition to the Grace Mary Manor, HACSL is also able to offer non-site based permanent supportive housing to over 100 households of homeless individuals and families. These programs are funded by federal HUD funds through the Shelter Plus Care Program.
