Case Management

As an FSS participant, you will be assigned a case manager who will work closely with your family to provide support and assistance for up to five years. Your case manager will also assist you with developing individual goals leading to self-reliance, and with identifying the steps and activities that need to be taken to reach these goals. You will also be provided with referrals to agencies and resources available in the community that can help you be successful.

The FSS Program works closely with several agencies in the community to provide a variety of services to our participants. Your case manager will help you identify your strengths and needs and refer you to services that may be able to assist you in reaching your goals. Some of the services offered include resume writing, interviewing techniques, career counseling, GED/high school diploma classes, financial management workshops, household budgeting, credit counseling, homeownership education, parenting classes, Individual Development Accounts, mental health counseling, and many more.

The Housing Authority of the County of Salt Lake is able to provide case managment free of charge to participants through generous grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
